Follow-up cadence checklist (no spam)

Follow-up is the difference between “we got busy” and “we won the job”. This checklist gives you a simple, respectful cadence you can run every week.

1) Follow-up is service

Many homeowners are stressed. A calm follow-up helps them take the next step.

Follow-up is only spam if you do it too much or if you’re rude. Keep it helpful and short.

2) Missed call cadence

  • 0–5 minutes: text: “Sorry we missed you. What do you need help with and what city are you in?”
  • Same day: one more attempt if urgent.
  • Stop: if no response, move on.

3) Estimate follow-up cadence

  • 24–48 hours: “Any questions on the options?”
  • 3–5 days: one calm reminder: “Happy to help if you want to schedule.”
  • Stop: if they say no, stop.

One follow-up often saves the job.

4) “Not ready yet” cadence

Some people aren’t ready. You can stay remembered without being annoying:

  • Offer a checklist or helpful guide.
  • Ask if you can send one short email tip list.

5) What not to do

  • Do not send 10 follow-ups.
  • Do not guilt-trip.
  • Do not argue.
  • Do not send long paragraphs.
